World Trade Forum IV

Was January 18, 2012 – 8:00am to 10:00am

Arizona CIV has teamed with Snell & Wilmer to present the annual World Trade Forum.  The 4th annual World Trade Forum will feature short presentations by speakers representing different levels of government and focus on a review of 2011, a forecast for 2012, and government stimulation of trade in Arizona. Possible speakers include Don Cardon, Director of the AZ Commerce Authority, the Director of Development for the City of Phoenix, and a representative from the US Department of Commerce.  There will also be a discussion on stimulating international trade and Q/A opportunities.  Attendance last year was over 200 people – and so sign-up soon. A Celebration of Citizen Diplomacy:
Arizona on the Global Stage

Was November 10, 2011 – 5:30-9:00 pm

Welcome to the signature event for AZCIV. This free-for-members and special guests at The MIM in Phoenix featured local business, non-profit and government leaders plus dignitaries from the National Council for International Visitors (NCIV) and the U.S. Department of State. Our keynote speaker was U.S. Congressman Ben Quayle, who highlighted and celebrated Arizona’s progress and opportunities with citizen diplomacy. This celebration of Citizen Diplomacy was made possible through a seed grant from the U.S. Department of State. Watch for a recap of the event on our site.

Fifth Annual CHINA Town Hall

Was November 16, 2011 – 5:00-8:00 pm

Featured a live webcast from Washington with Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter, followed by a local presentation on China by Michael T. McCune, Market Strategist at Iconoculture. The event was held at the Scottsdale Community College in the Peridot Room located in the Student Center. See you next year!
